While you’re waiting for your hot tub to arrive, there are a few things you can do to get ready at home.
- Check with local Houston ordinances and HOA guidelines to ensure your hot tub location and size doesn’t violate any rules.
- Clear a spot with a foundation long and strong enough to hold your hot tub.
- Once your delivery date is finalized, schedule an appointment with a licensed electrician to hook up your hot tub after it is installed.

Pre-Purchase
The National Electric Code (NEC) specifies that each Modtub must be hardwired into a 240v 50A GFCI protected subpanel (also called load center or disconnect panel) adjacent to the Modtub, at least 5 feet away, and within line of sight. There could be additional local regulations on top of these, and we recommend consulting with a licensed electrician.
