The ModPlunge provides the following:
- Insulation – the tub is made out a huge, hard-sided rotomolded plastic cooler with a hard top providing maximum insulation and efficiency. The cooler is pressure injected with up to 2” of polyurethane foam.
- Circulation – circulation is provided by a quiet pump attached to the back of the cooler that keeps the water moving to filter the water, pass it through the chiller, and prevent freezing.
- Filtration – the filter is attached to the pump on the back of the cooler and can filter particles as small as 5 microns to keep your water fresh and clean.
- Refrigeration – the ¼ HP chiller on the side of the cooler brings the water temperature down to your desired temperature as low as 39 degrees.

I’ve been enjoying deliberate cold water immersion for about two years, and finally decided it was time to upgrade my caveman setup (barrel with ice added to the water) to a chiller and tub combo for consistently cold temperatures. I researched all of the options and this was the best value for the price, by far. The insulation on the Grizzly is great and it seems to hold the water temperature well, really reducing the work of the chiller. I was worried about whether I would fit (6’2”; 197lbs) but for a cooler, the size of this thing is just insane. I can comfortably sit, recline, or fully submerge myself. Two smaller people could fit at the same time. The ModTub customer service is fantastic – Jesse and Sawyer were in frequent communication with me while I waited for delivery, and Sawyer helped me out immediately when I had a question about setup. All in all, this is the best purchase I’ve made in a long time!

I have been cold plunging for about 4 months every morning and finally got my Modtub. I had a portable plunge that is keep in the garage. Once the weather warmed up, I had to use ice to keep my tank at 58 degrees. It was a constant battle every morning and such a pain. I got the Modtub and now the water is a nice constant temperature. I went away for a weekend and just closed the lid and the water temp only dropped 2 degrees in 3 days. Amazing product, great instructions, easy to set up and get running. Took me longer to fill the cooler with water than put the parts all together. Well worth the money and time saved.

I’m loving the ModTub setup! Here in CA I thought my plunging was over due to the weather heating up, but this setup has been able to maintain temps in the lower 40’s so looks like I’ll be able to keep going through the summer! Easy purchase, was in direct contact with the owners though out with questions, delivery was a breeze. Fits nicely in my home gym, SML3 rack and adjustable bench for scale, I’m 6’2″ about 195, fit in the tub no problem. So far have chilled down to 45,will take some time for me to get down to 39 ! Limits of my mind and not the equipment !!! I did add an ozone generator to the system by drilling a small hole in the hinge plug, working well so far.
Would highly recommend Modplunge to anyone looking to better their recovery, Cardiovascular and mental health !

I didn’t have the time or desire to DIY a cold plunge solution and let me tell you I am so glad I didn’t. This is a great altogether package. It’s about as plug and play as you can get and one of the most efficient setups you will find. I added Ozone and led submersible lights. I take a morning dip everyday before an intense HITT workout. I was new to cold plunging but glad I found this setup and can’t see myself training without it.

I had nearly given up on getting a cold plunge until I found this product. It is effectively a DIY solution with professional level fit and finish. I couldn’t find anything that came close to this solution when comparing price, warranty, and aesthetics. As I am 6’4 and 205lbs, I was a bit concerned about fitting. However, I comfortably fit fully submerged up to the neck. It took me 30 minutes to set up and instantly just works. Looks like it now comes with an ozone generator which makes this solution even better. My wife and I love it and use it everyday. Interacting with Sawyer was a pleasure. I can’t recommend this company or this product enough.
